My Favorite Color

There is a sign that sits in the corner of our kitchen that says "Sunshine is my favorite color".

With my wife being a California girl, the sign fits perfectly in our home and we always enjoy anytime we get at the beach or in the sun.

Beyond just being a sign, it actually represents something far more for us, and that is the choice we have to be positive, to choose happiness, to find joy . . . even when times are hard or when life throws a curveball.

I saw a poll today here on LinkedIn asking if money can buy happiness? Of course, money can buy us things, but happiness is a choice we can make despite our circumstances.

I know plenty of people who have a lot of money and they are miserable.

When I look around at what is happening in our world today, we are in desperate need of happiness, joy, and contentment.

We need a ray of sunshine and encouragement rather than divisive speech, negative stories on our airwaves, and attacking each other on social media.

We need to slow down, shed our constant state of busyness and stress, and learn to enjoy the small and also magnificent moments that we experience every day.

As you head into this weekend, I want to encourage you to find joy, choose happiness, and soak up the sunshine that is present in your life through your relationships and within who you are as a person.

The world needs more of it!

On the journey with you,
